I have to say "Shredders on Fry" is my song of the day. Its cheery little piano in the beginning has brightened my day. Eat Skull has a prickly sound that you have to warm up to. A full on embrace of their songs would be like hugging a cactus. You need to pad up before you attempt such a feat, so that you can reach the juicy fruit beneath all the thorns. Eat Skulls songs are caked in distortion and their sound is defined by their songs titles: "Shredders on Fry", "Punk Trips". Yet underneath the lo-fi recording echoes a world of catchy melodies and words shouted into a mic indifferent to key. The two Kiwis latest release is Sick to Death, is a good addition to both the Lo-fi scene that is continuing to grow and the world.
