Daniel Martin Moore is a new artist, so new that "you've never heard of him before", according to Sub Pop. From Cold Spring, Kentucky, Daniel's soft folk has the same effect on me as most of Jon Brion's work ( listen to "Little Person"). His sound is very reminiscent of the feeling that settles over one when Christmas is at hand. His new album, Stray Age, is out now.

Hey Finn. Glad to have discovered your blog, I like what you're doning. Daniel Martin Moore reminds me a lot of Nick Drake - one of Sam Haskins' favorites. Worth investigating if you're not already familiar.

Hey Mike, thanks for the positive feedback. I have heard of Nick Drake though he's more of a big name than anything. I do like "Pink Moon" though, which is the only song that I have by him in my library. What album would you recommend?
